Definition: A code classifying the industry for the related organization, position, or other entity.

Usage Rule: HR-XML does not maintain industry classifications. Relevant classification systems are: 1. United Nations: International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities; 2. North America Industrial Classification System (NAICS); 3. Dow Jones and Ftse: Industry Classification Benchmark; 4. MSCI and Standard & Poor: Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS); 5.
