AcknowledgeDevelopmentPlan is an HR-XML Business Object Document (BOD). Each BOD contains an "Application Area" and a "Data Area." The Data Area contains a Verb and a Noun. For more information on the BOD architecture, see the section called “Business Object Documents”.
The Acknowledge verb is used to acknowledge the application receipt of a Process request. This function conveys the result of the original request. An example of this is Acknowledge PO, where a Process PO has been issued and the corresponding business application acknowledges the receipt of the PO and responds with an acceptance or a counter offer.

Supports the communication of a training or development plan. A common use might be the transfer of training or learning information from a performance management system to a learning management system. May include references to associated learning objects (courses, developmental tools, etc.) and objectives or achievement standards. See detailed documentation of DevelopmentPlan components.
